Hello everybody, news from MacroVine!
Last time we introduced new skills and the main menu of the game. Now, we enrich your game experience with the following:
- We've created a new visualization for the character selection menu. This is still WIP, but the idea is that you will have a picture that is also a button for selecting your character. In this example, every llama with mohawk would be a different character, you get the idea:
New player selection menu - Using your skills repeatedly and instantly would be a little OP, so we added cooldown to them. You can see in the picture that a Role C player just spawned a trampoline, but it tried to do it again immediately, so the log printed a message informing that the skill is not available yet.
Role C player trying to spawn multiple trampolines at once - You may notice from the previous image that there is a huge wall, and as far as we've let you known, well, we implemented a wall-jump mechanic. You will be able to use it by being right at a wall. You press the jump button and move to the opposite direction immediately after. Keep in mind that you will have to control how far you move if you want to perform multiple wall-jumps in a row...
- The previous image is also a bit different than the ones from previous devlogs. That is because we created our first level map! You can now have a proper race with enough space and obstacles.
- We put our first character spay!. Role A character may resemble ghost rider if you look closely here:

Both spays are the same with some minor color differences, this won't be permanent and the rest will be imlemeneted when ready!
We have in mind the idea of having a game mode where you can have a series of races and each race's results will be accounted in a points system, so you can see who's best like in a championship if you want to frame it like that.
